King of Fruits: Durian

The king of fruit is available all year round in Davao City, but pronounced fruiting season comes two times in a year. Falling of fruits starts at March and end in May and the second wave August to October. During this season, the air will be filled with a strong scent of the Durian fruit.
As I passed by the streets of Davao, I was amazed to see fruits on the streets. I mean not on the usual fruit stand but literally everywhere.

This trike is full! Not of passengers but the king of fruits.
Since it is the beginning of season, prices are still high. Premium varieties are 100 PhP per kilo and native varieties at 90 PhP per kilo. As compared to 20 - 40 PhP per kilo.
On my next blog, I will share tips on how enjoy you first Durian experience.

     See you.
