Dengue and White Chair

Goodbye chair! I will not surely miss you, but will not forget you.

White Multipurpose Chair
You are like my BEST FRIEND who is always there, from day 1 to day 6. As if you heard when doctors declared "platelet today is 41, but always giving hope that it will go up soon because WBC is at 5.2".  Maybe you will not miss my anointed Pastor who is the visitor who purposely sat on you. For sure you remain stationary, when blood pressure dropped to 90/60. When there was a struggle for breathing, and ordered the XRay to be immediately done inside the room. (Note: it is not covered by HMO and it's not cheap). When the radiologist published results that there is a possible lung infection. Maybe if you have a brain, it can not process the outcome of someone having a dengue virus + nosocomial pneumonia  (hospital acquired pneumonia categorized as deadly). However God's wisdom is on the super cool Doctor, saying it is not a lung infection. The ordeal of low platelet is unbearable, smell and taste makes her vomit, everything is in small frequent eating and drinking. It is a battle between sleep and drinking and food. If you have emotions, you might as well felt our amazement when the stomach is starting to bulge without eating much. The doctor explained as a part if disease process when the liver is working hard to produce platelet, it emits gases making our stomach fuller and bigger. Day 5 in the afternoon is the happiest day when the platelet starts to go up by 56 and 61 the following day is the sign that I will not be seeing you. The durian went home, durian shake was consumed in a flash by the handsome watcher.

Allow me to share my top 6 learning's on my 6 days with Dengue and White Chair.
1.  Always put your TRUST in GOD.
2.  Prayer erases FEAR, it cultivates FAITH.
3.  Learn and understand the Dengue disease process.
4.  Hydration and strong immune system can help you combat the virus.
5.  Platelet can go up with out durian and tawa-tawa.
6.  Being sick requires a lot of LOVE, TIME and MONEY.

God is always Good.
